Mother Earth Foundation (MEF) is a non-stock, non-profit NGO actively engaged in addressing waste and toxic pollution, climate change, and other health and environmental justice issues. It is best known for its advocacy of Zero Waste through the systematic reduction and proper management of waste. MEF is currently working on Ecological Solid Waste Management projects in and outside Metro Manila, such as Malabon, Cavite, San Fernando, Pampanga and Nueva Vizcaya, and is in need of qualified and experienced applicants with diverse backgrounds for the following posts based in Quezon City but with travel requirements to all project sites.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 
The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities: 
The position’s duties and responsibilities include:
1. Participates with the Board of Trustees in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization.
2. Acts as a spokesperson for the organization, in addition to the Chairperson of the Board.
3. Ensures that the operation of the organization meets the expectations of its clients, Board and Funders.
4. Oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organization.
5. Oversees the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization's programs and services.
6. Determines staffing requirements for organizational management and program delivery.
7. Coaches and mentors staff as appropriate to improve performance.
8. Works with the Board to secure adequate funding for the operation of the organization.
9. Administers the funds of the organization according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of the organization.
10. Provides the Board with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and expenditures of the organization
11. Ensures that the organization complies with all legislation covering taxation and withholding payments.
12. Establishes good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, government officials, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.

 Minimum Requirements: 
• Share Mother Earth Foundation’s vision in environmental advocacy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• With at least 5 years of relevant experience in leadership positions
• Highly organized, efficient and reliable
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector
• Transparent and high integrity leadership
• Solid, hands-on budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
• Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, an advantage
• Experience  in working with Local Government Units, an advantage

NATIONAL COORDINATOR 
The National Coordinator is responsible for providing overall coordination and project management to ensure proper implementation of MEF’s community-based Ecological Solid Waste Management Programs in the country, as well as coordinate other programs and activities that will advance MEF’s National Zero Waste Advocacy.

Responsibilities: 
The position’s duties and responsibilities include:
1. Coordinates and manages programs and activities at the local level.
2. Works with the Executive Director in establishing/strengthening existing networks.
3. Coaches and mentors local staff as appropriate to improve performance.
4. Oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organization at the local level.
5. Works with the Executive Director in overseeing the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization's programs and services.
6. Ensures prompt releases of fund transfers and reimbursements for local staff.
7. Provides the Executive Director with comprehensive, regular reports on project implementation, including financial report on project expenditures.
8. Establishes good working relationships with community groups, funders, politicians, government officials, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

• With ability and experience to coach and train local staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent networking skills.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Satisfactory oral and written communication skills.
• With at least 3 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, an advantage
• Experience  in working with Local Government Units, an advantage
